I was born in Olympia, Washington and moved to Nebraska when I was about 2 years old.  I grew up with my 3 sisters and a brother in the very small town of Eddyville where we literally used chalk to adjust our population. I spent most of my youth on my grandparent's farm and worked on it until I was 20.  My grandfather used to say that he didn't care when I started work in the morning or when I quit at night, as long as it was dark both times. I wasn't a huge supporter of that viewpoint in my youth but I later grew to appreciate it.  I was brought up learning the importance of faith, family, integrity and good ol' fashion hard work and I try to live my life with these core values at the center.

After graduating high school I went off to a vocational college where I received my AA in Building Construction Technology. After college I worked for a local contractor and then on a whim decided to move to LA with a friend to further our careers in construction. It didn't take long though for me to miss my small town and my family back home. I had decided to return to Nebraska but changed my mind somewhat quickly after meeting an amazing southern California girl who would later become my wife. Her father owned a manufacturing business and asked me to come on board. I worked for the company for a few years and then my wife and I moved to San Clemente following my in laws and the business. We have now been here for over 25 years and I couldn't imagine living any where else. I am blessed to have 3 beautiful grown daughters and a 3 1/2 year old granddaughter who melts my heart.  Watching my kids play sports was always a highlight of my week and for the last 12 years I have also enjoyed watching almost every SC Triton Football game in town and away.  I don't think it's a coincidence that Nebraska and SC both wear the red and black.

I worked for my father in law (in about every capacity) for over 23 years up until he retired. After my own father's untimely passing and some other life changing events I realized, as many do, life is too short not to pursue a passion. I have always loved interacting with people and real estate gave me the perfect platform to do what I love - meeting and ultimately serving others. I'm genuinely interested in people's lives and to be part of such a big event in someone's life is an honor. I am so excited to begin this new career path and I look forward to what tomorrow brings.

It is my sincere hope that if we don't know each other already, we will be meeting soon.

Take care and have a great day,

Scott
